Valentines Day with Jeremy

Another Valentines day where my closest lover is sports. Unfortunaely, judging by recent intramural soccer performances, I don’t know how much sports loves me back. Anyways here are my thoughts on the days headlines on ESPN.com:

-Lin hits game-winning 3 vs. Raptors: I loved Tim Tebow, but on this special day dedicated to love, I am officially professing my love for Linsanity. Don’t worry I’m still with Tim, but for those keeping score, we’re taking a break. Bad puns and Asian people, two of my favorites all in one!

Unrelated: I just watched Tim Kurkjian talk about athletic cups.
Unrelated 2: I just watched Joe Theismann advertise for stronger urination. Happy Valentines day!

- WVU ends legal battle, set for Big 12: Unfortunately, this story pales in comparison to the news that UC Davis is going to the Big Sky. Weber State will be a tough matchup for us.

- Heat rout Pacers, match best start: Lebron James is good.

- Irsay: Decision Peyton's; talk on tap: It was reported earlier this week Peyton Manning throwing arm was like a noodle. Before that, doctors cleared Manning to resume his NFL career. I’ve never had noodle-arm before, but it seems hard to play football with it. I wonder if Irsay will begin the conversation with Peyton by asking: “So how’s your noodle Peyton?”

- Sources: Yanks push back on Burnett offer: I’m still trying to figure out what the Pirates are doing. A.J. Burnett had great value…ten years ago when he actually had potential. Now he’s 35 with an atrocious contract and still wildly inconsistent to consistently terrible. The problem is the Pirates are still under the impression that they’re contenders, when in reality their number one starter is Eric Bedard. Fortunately, All-Star pitcher Kevin Correia is still there.

- Shaq: Howard leaving Magic would be 'travesty': Says the guy who ditched the same team 4 years into his career…

- Wings win NHL-record 21 straight at home: I don’t know hockey, is this good?

- Report: Lin moving from couch to apartment: ESPN reporters at their best!
